Graduated from NU/VC in 1983, hired as a grade 7&8 math teacher at Hartford Memorial Middle School in 1984. I'm in my third position at the middle school - math, then student management, and now Humanities teacher. It's a great job as we get to do whatever we want every day with no ties to state curriculum. Six more years until I hit 30 years there and can retire. I also am the school Athletic Director and enjoy all the responsibilities that go along with the position. Cindy (we are still together after 23+ years) left school nursing at Hartford High in 2005 and went back to Hitchcock to be a triage nurse in the General Internal Medicine department.
