Been a wild life. Joined the Guard before we graduated and went to basic/AIT 10 days after graduating. Got back to Northfield just in time to start at NU. Didn't work for me so I left and went to work doing this and that for a while. While in the Guard, my Battalion commander saw something (probably a 60's flashback) and sent me to OCS. Got my commission in the Army (Engineer) in 1982. Went to EOBC at Ft Belvoir, VA. I went back to VT as an Engineer Company platoon leader. I eventually enrolled at VTC, graduated in 1986 with AS in engineering and worked for Simmons Precision in Vergennes.
Moved to Texas in July 1987 and got a job with Minco Technology Labs. In the meantime I met my wife Debbie. My son Christian Michael was born 30 Sept '88, he's happy and healthy. In August '88 I got a call from the Director of Engineering for the TX Guard. He wanted me to work for him full time on Active Guard/Reserve status. I worked there until 1992. In '92 I was given the opportunity to work at the Army National Guard Bureau in Arlington, VA. I have worked in the project management, resourcing and Congressional Liaison. In May 1999 I became the Facilities Management Officer for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (Promotion to Lieutenant Colonel), responsible to construct and maintain all National Guard Armories, Maintenance Facilities, Aviation Facilities, Veterans Homes and Veterans Hospitals throughout the Commonwealth.
I retired from the Army and am now the Senior Vice President for a construction company in Baltimore, Maryland. Family is happy and healthy.
